Jimmi has always found Dr. Timothy Patrick to be calm, reassuring and in control. Whether on Starbase 12 or on the ship, she can't imagine anything that would rattle him. Of course, she has never been on any kind of mission with him.

Speaking of Dr. Patrick:
When he was growing up, he always entered the science fair at school. And he always got first place. As we learn in this story, one year he did the standard mouse running a maze experiment. His experiment was a success at the time -- but he learned so much more about it on the Jush.ra planet.


An Unexpected Planet: The Jush.ra

This story is one of the shorter ones.  It takes place entirely on the planet Hayash 4 and the Excelsior. 

As far as my time line goes:
Hikaru Sulu is Captain of Excelsior. He is married to Jimmi and has two children - Hikaru and Demora.
Commander Pavel Chekov is First Officer of Excelsior. He is married to C.J. and has one son, Peter.
Dr. Timothy Patrick is the Excelsior's chief medical officer and Lt. Rosita Gonzoles is the ship's navigator.
